In 2017, Nick was the convenor of the head and neck section for the 4th South Pacific ORL Forum in Hawaii.  There, he ran an Ultrasound Workshop for surgeons and gave talks on parotid and thyroid surgery. In 2017 Nick was also a reviewer on a video session at the 3rd World Congress on Thyroid Cancer in Boston, Massacheussets, later that year he also receieved a Presidential Citation from the NZ ORL/Head & Neck Society for his work in Head and Neck Surgery.
